What story is the pop video an allusion to?

This music video, is an allusion to a story we have recently read! "The Lottery". The From Autumn to Ashes video (not a bad choice of music, I must say!) refers to the story in very similar circumstances, for example, much like how the girl is late to work, and she gets the "lucky" number at the end.

I know this! This is an allusion to the short story THE LOTTERY by Shirley Jackson. Haha It is pretty funny actually.

It wasn't until the man holding the black box did I realize this music video is the allusion to "The Lottery". The last part was a bit intimidating I must say! Good thing that it doesn't show.
